About Mad Batter

If you are craving for a slice of happiness, you have come to the right place. We, at Mad Batter, bake cakes that put a smile on every connoisseur’s face. We believe that we are not only a cake shop, but also a means of bringing joy to celebrations. Be it a birthday, a wedding or a gender reveal party, we can deliver a cake that suits the occasion. Cutting a beautiful cake at a party is surely a tradition that all of us enjoy and it’s a cherry on the top (pun intended) if the cake is delicious. Let us make your celebrations more memorable.

We are a cake shop that is run from a house. Please order your cakes at least 5-7 days before the date of pick-up or delivery. We may be able to handle special and urgent requests at additional costs, but of course, that is never a guarantee.

How it all started

One fine morning, during the CoVid-19 lockdown, my best friend sent me a picture of her freshly baked loaf of bread. Knowing how much my husband likes home-made food, I thought of surprising him. So, I watched a ton of YouTube videos and baked my first bread. Although, it wasn’t my best baking performance, I loved the process. I knew in that moment that I was not going to stop at bread. I started baking cakes and cupcakes for birthday parties of my closest friends. Baking is such a detailed process that YouTube can only teach you so much. The nuances of baking are learned by trying multiple paths, failing many times and finding your own way of making a delicious piece of cake. I proud myself on developing my own unique recipes. What started with a small 3-foot cupboard for all my baking stuff, has grown into a dedicated room in my house. With all the love that I get from my customers, I am confident that we will soon grow into a bakery that offers Indian as well as European delicacies.

When I was running an interior designing business in Mumbai, the economic capital of India, I couldn’t have, in the wildest of my dreams, thought that I would be the proud owner of a cake shop, let alone in another country. Now and then I would indulge in a decadent piece of chocolate cake, but the thought of baking one never crossed my mind. Baking gives me an opportunity to turn my imagination into reality with my own hands.

Ten years ago, if a fortune teller had said that I would be the co-founder of cake shop in 2020, I would have definitely laughed it off. After all, I am a mechanical engineer working in the semiconductor industry. What am I doing co-founding of a cake shop? Well, jokes apart, I enjoy bringing my wife’s dream to reality. At Mad Batter, I handle the back end of the business. On top of that, I am the official new-flavour-approver of Mad Batter. Having a sweet tooth has finally paid off!

What a tasteful way of celebrating my wife´s birthday and our anniversary. I was looking for something special, and Manali´s art caught my eyes, but the surprise is bigger when you receive the cake. It´s even more beautiful than the pics, and you are struggling to cut such as delightful cake, looks like it has its own soul, but when you manage to gift yourself with a piece of it, your tongue just melts under such wave of flavors. Despite that is a sweet, it is not over choking sweet, you truly enjoy it in a healthy and delicious way, and makes your day even happier. Highly recommended and definitely will order it again.

Manali is very responsive and ready to help even at short notice , I contacted on Friday for a cake on Monday and she was more than ready to make it at short notice . I came across Mad Batter in one of the events in Eindhoven, and tried for the first time their cup-cakes and I must say they were heavenly.. such delicious and yummy cupcakes and mind it that they were eggless.. And then the next time tried their Rasmalai cake which was out of the world.. no words to describe how tasty it was.. And seeing all this I decided to order a cake for my husband’s birthday and it was ready on time and yet again they were true on their service in terms of taste, look and experience.
